Asking about dates with Was / Were
- "When was the meeting?" — "It was on the 5th of March." (Quando foi a reunião? Foi no dia 5 de março.)

The G7 Summit was a very important meeting of world leaders. It was in Kananaskis, Canada, on the 16th and 17th of June, 2025. The G7 is a group of seven powerful countries: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
The leaders were at the summit for two days. It was the first G7 summit for some of the leaders, like British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was the host. He was very proud to welcome the other leaders to Canada.
On the 14th of June — two days before the summit — Prime Ministers Carney and Starmer were at a bilateral meeting in Ottawa. In the evening, they were at a hockey game together. It was a fun moment before the big event.
The topics at the summit were very important: trade, security, and international relations. It was a busy and historic meeting.
